CO2 MONITORING SYSTEMS
CO2 MONITORING SYSTEMS
The MVE CO2 Safety System continuously monitors CO2 concentration in specific room locations. It is designed to detect increases in CO2 gas concentration. Carbon Dioxide is a colorless, odorless gas, which normally comprises .04% of the air we breathe. However, CO2 gas does not support life and in concentrations above 3% has suffocating effects causing symptoms such as headache, sweating, rapid breathing, increased heart rate, shortness of breath or dizziness. Air having CO2 concentrations higher than 5% can cause unconciousness or death within a few minutes. CO2 gas is heavier than air, so high concentrations will be found in lower spaces or confined areas or in basements posing a risk of suffocation to anyone in those areas.
